Attention! Carefully read and follow this guide
in its entirety. Failure to do so may result in many
hours of frustration.
NOTE: You may be prompted for your Windows XP or System
CD (if provided by your computer manufacturer).
Your email address is in the form of username@netnet.net
(where "username" is substituted for
one of your usernames above). This address is what people
must use to send you email.
Installing the Internet Software
Throughout these instructions:
Italic type like this states an action
you need to follow directly on your computer
Bold face type like this represents actual
type you will find on your screen.
"Click" unless otherwise specified
means positioning the mouse over the specified place
and pressing the left mouse button once.
"Double-click" always means positioning
the mouse over the specified place and pressing the
left mouse twice quickly.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Windows XP has the ability to have
several "groups" of users, each having their
own permissions and settings. You will need to be running
as an Administrator to properly install this
software. Please consult your owners manual or
contact your computer manufacturer if you are not sure
you are running as an Administrator level user.
1) Place the EZN Easy Internet CD in your CD drive.
The following screen should appear. Scroll down to the
bottom of the text and Click "I Agree."

If this screen does not appear, follow these steps:
a) Click on the "Start" menu
and choose "Run"
b) Type D:\SETUP (replace "D:"
with the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive)
c) Click "OK"
2) You should now see the Account Setup Wizard window.

In the "ISP Access Code" field, type
in "netnet" then click "Next."
3) Now you should see NetNets Acceptable Use
Policy. Click "I Agree" to continue.

4) You should now see a box to enter your username.

Type your username in the field labeled "Login
Name" then click "Next."
5) The next box that appears asks you to type
"Your Name". You may enter your real
name, a nickname, or nothing at all. Whatever you enter
will be displayed when someone gets an email from you.
When you are done, Click "Next."
6) You will now come to the main install screen. Click
the "Express Install" button located
at the top of the window.

7) You will now come to the Program Installation Wizard.
NetNet, Inc. recommends that you choose the pre-selected
programs listed. Click "Next."
8) Follow the on-screen setup instructions for the
software you are installing. Please note the following
install tips below:
You will be told that you computer will restart
after installation. Click "Yes."
Click "Finish" when the
installation of the software is completed. Leave the
EZN CD in your computer while your computer reboots.
9) After the software you selected is installed and
your computer has restarted, you will come to the Internet
Configuration Wizard.

a) Under "Pick the closest state/province/territory,"
WI should already be selected. If it is not, click
the arrow on the far right of the blank and select "WI."
b) For "Pick the closest city," select
the name of the city you are calling from, or the city
closest to you.
c) In the field labeled "Pick a local number,"
select the phone number listed. IMPORTANT: If you are
unsure that the number selected is a local call, please
contact your phone company to find out. As always, NetNet,
Inc. cannot be held responsible for any long distance
or "ECC" charges on your telephone bill!
d) Click "Next."
10) The Internet Configuration Wizard continues with
a screen similar to the following:

Everything listed should have a checkmark next to it.
Click "Configure." When asked
to create the program groups and shortcuts, click "OK."
11) After your system configures itself, an info box
will appear stating "Configuration Complete!"
Click "OK."
12) You have now returned to the main install screen.
Click the "Quit" button located
in the upper-right corner of the window. Your Internet
software is now installed! You may now remove the EZN
CD from your CD-ROM drive.
Connecting to the Internet
1) After installing the software by following the preceding
instructions, you should now have some new icons on
your desktop similar to the ones below:

Double-click the icon labeled "Shortcut
to NetNet."
2) The Connect NetNet window should now be in the middle
of your screen, as shown here:

Type your username in the field labeled "User
name" if it is not there already. Click
on the field for "Password" and type
your password. You may also select the "Save
this user name and password for the following users"
box if you would like the computer to remember your
username and password.
3) Click "Dial." Your modem
should dial NetNet and connect you with our service.
4) After the connection is made, double-click
folder called "NetNet Inc," and then
double click on the icon labeled "Internet
Explorer." This will take you to the Internet
and bring up NetNets website your Internet
starting point. More information on using Internet Explorer
can be found by using the "Help" pull-down
menu and selecting "Contents and Index."
Checking Email
1) After opening Internet Explorer, click on the icon
that looks like an envelope located near the top of
the window, as shown below. This will take you to the
Outlook Express program for sending and receiving email.

2) Click on the "Send/Recv"
icon located near the top of the Outlook Express program
window. Type in your password when prompted.
Your mail will appear in your Inbox.
3) To read a message, click on a single message
you wish to display (from the list of messages in your
inbox) and it will be shown in the area below the messages
list.
Note: Further information on how to use your
email can be located by using the "Help"
pull-down menu and selecting "Contents and Index."
Disconnecting from the Internet
1) First you will need to close all of the Internet
applications (such as Internet Explorer and Outlook
Express) you were using when online. Most programs can
be closed by clicking on the "X"
in the upper-right corner of the program window.
2) After closing the Internet applications, look at
the bottom-right corner of the screen, near the clock.
You will see a small icon, which resembles a pair of
tiny computer screens. This is your online indicator
icon. Double-click on that icon and a window
will appear.
3) Click on the "Disconnect"
button. Your computer is now disconnected from the Internet.
