Attention! Carefully read and follow this guide
in its entirety. Failure to do so may result in many
hours of frustration.
Open Transport 1.1 & OT/PPP
If OT doesn’t exist on your system our CD will install
it, just make sure you answer YES
both times when prompted-
Modem (at least 11400 BPS)
Installation Instructions:
Step 1. Open the CD ROM tray.
Step 2. Place the CD ROM in the tray, text
side up.
Step 3. Double click the EZNET icon, after the
window opens double click on the setup.exe icon.
Step 4. If needed, the CD will upgrade your
computer’s System software and install Open Transport
and OT/PPP.
Step 5. Click Install and then “I Agree”
to the License agreement on the next screen.
Click Continue.
Step 6. In the Personal Configuration dialog
box, enter netnet for the ISP Access Code. Then, click
Next.
You will then be prompted for your Login Name. Type
your username in the Dial-Up Login Name field. Leave the
E-mail User Name field blank and click Next.
Enter your full name and click Finish.
Step 7. Click I Accept after reading the
Acceptable Use Policy.
Step 8. Choose the web browser you would like
to use from the “Available Titles” box. Click on “Install
this program,” and follow the directions on your
screen. NetNet, Inc. highly recommends that you use
Microsoft Internet Explorer, which will install a web
browser and will also automatically install Outlook
Express for checking email.
If you prefer to use another web browser/email
program, click the name of the program you wish to
install from the list on the left side. Then, click “Install
the program.” Follow the on-screen instructions for
installing whichever program you choose.
Note: Many programs require that you reboot the
computer after the installation is complete. After
rebooting, Easy Internet will automatically configure
the new software for you.

Step 9. AFTER INSTALLING programs, open the
EZNET setup.exe icon on your desktop again. Click “I
Agree” to agree to the License Agreement.
Step 10. Click the button labeled INTERNET
CONFIGURATION.
a) Under “Pick the closest state” WI should
already be selected. If it is not, click the arrow on
the far right of the blank and select “WI”.
b) Following the chart included with your
installation materials, select the city you will dial
under “Pick the closest city”.
c) In the field labeled “Pick a local number”,
select the appropriate phone number according to the
phone number chart.
d) Click “Next”
Step 11. Click on “Configure”. Our CD will
proceed to configure all the programs you decided to
install.
When it’s done, click “Continute”, and then
close down EZNet Setup
by clicking “Quit.”

Running the Internet Configuration configures your
Dial-up connection, configures the applications you
installed, and creates a folder on your Desktop with an
alias of each program that was installed.
Always run the Internet Configuration after
installing additional programs. If you experience any
problems try running it again.
Help is available by clicking on the Help button. 68K
Macs will find Help located under Balloon Help, next to
the Finder at the top right of your screen.
*Additional help is also available and can be found
by clicking on the EZN Tutorial icon.
Connecting to the Internet:
Choose APPLE MENU ITEM, then CONTROL PANELS,
then Remote Access. Enter your password, then choose the
CONNECT button. After you connect, open and run
your web browser (Netscape Communicator or Internet
Explorer).
Checking Email:
1. After opening Internet Explorer, click on the icon
that looks like an envelope located near the top of the
window, as shown below. This will take you to the
Outlook Express program for sending and receiving email.
2. Click on the Send/Recv icon located near the top
of the Outlook Express program window. Type in your
password when prompted. Your mail will appear in your
Inbox.
3. To read a message, click on a single message you
wish to display (from the list of messages in your
inbox) and it will be shown in the area below the
messages list.
Disconnecting from the Internet:
Quit your web browser. Choose APPLE MENU ITEM,
then CONTROL PANELS, then Remote Access. Click
the DISCONNECT button.
Note: User name and Password settings are case
sensitive.
Troubleshooting:
For Mac OS 8.6 and above:
In order to make the connection process easier we
suggest you configure Remote Access in the control
panels folder in the following way:
1. Open Remote Access
2. Click on Options
3. Select the Protocol Tab
4. The line that says "Connect automatically
when starting TCP/IP applications" should be
checked.
5. Close Remote Access and save the changes if
prompted.
6. Whenever you want to connect to the Internet just
double click on the Browser's icon, type in your User
Name and Password, and connect. Note: Remote Access
doesn't disconnect automatically after you close down
your Browser.
For Mac OS 8.5 and below:
Choose APPLE MENU ITEM, then CONTROL PANELS,
then PPP. Enter your password, then choose the CONNECT
button. After your connect, open and your web browser
(Netscape Communicator or Internet Explorer).
In order to make the connection process easier we
suggest you configure PPP in the control panels folder
in the following way:
Open PPP
Click on Options
Select the Connection Tab
The line that says “Connect automatically when
starting TCP/IP applications” should be checked.
Close PPP
Whenever you want to connect to the Internet just double
click on the Browser’s icon, type in your User Name
and Password, and connect. Note: PPP doesn’t
disconnect automatically after you close down your
Browser.
